10 PICKUP: I TEST THE WIPER MOTOR CIRCUT ON A 1995 S
HOW DO I TEST THE WIPER MOTOR CIRCUT ON i NEED ACCESS TO A WIRING DIAGRAM AS i REPLACED THE MOTOR, my wiper relay switch on a 03 SilveradoHello & Welcome, I have the schematic of the system below. To test the switch, I would just use a multimeter to measure the signals as the switch is turned to each position. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks, XXXXX If this helps. please click the Accept button.Hi again, Let me see if I can find a step-by-step procedure for testing, but for now, I would turn the switch to the Low or High setting and check for power at the appropriate pin on the motor assembly connector. - Pin E (Brown wire) should have power on it in the Low position. - Pin D (Purple wire) should have power on it in the High position. Please let me know what you find. Thanks, XXXXXI would go back to the switch and test for power there. There should be the same color of wires there - Yellow, Brown & Purple. If power is making it out of the switch, in different positions, then it would be the wiring between the two components. The P100 you see in the schematic is a pass-through where the wires go through the firewall. Please let me know what you find. Thanks, XXXXXHi again - Sorry for the delay. My (dumb) cat brought a mouse into the house and I had to get it out! It is possible that the bad motor burned out the new switch, especially if you tested it and did not see anything coming out of switch when the low and high settings are selected. It could be the contacts are burned. If you notice on the schematic, the contact for the washer switch are different from the main switch. You should see a pulse of power at the Brown wire when the washer switch is used. I hope this helps. Good Luck, Greg A.
